After getting Skins fans’ hopes up by starting the 2008 season 6-2, the Washington Redskins turned what could have been an incredible year into pure crap disappointment, ending up 8-8 (after going an abysmal 2-6 in the second half of the season) following today’s last minute loss to the SF 49ers.

After an exciting 3-0 start, the Colorado Buffaloes ended up with a disappointing 5-7 (bowl-blocking) record for the year.  However, the season was not without its highlights as evidenced by Jimmy Smith’s head-ups play (above) against Nebraska during the annual post-Thanksgiving classic.

Redskins improve to 7-4 on the season after holding off the Seahawks, 20-17!

Despite fumbling late in the game, NFL rushing leader – Clinton Portis – ran for 175 yards and a touchdown helping the Skins defeat the Browns 14-11.
