Radiohead (mostly) rocks Golden Gate Park

The first-ever Outside Lands Music & Arts Festival kicked off last night.  With my eyes squarely focused on Radiohead (only) last night, I can’t speak too much for the festival as a whole, but that post will follow.  Now back to the important matter at hand, Radiohead in Golden Gate Park.

What can I say? The music was wonderful…the audio problems (sound cut out twice completely), people surrounding us (non-fans who could not keep even relatively quiet), and the strict 10pm curfew was not.*

While the band was only able to squeeze in 22 tracks before having to leave the stage at 10pm (one of the shortest sets of their entire 2008 In Rainbows tour), the show was not without its highlights: Talk Show Host, The Gloaming, Bodysnatchers, and Fake Plastic Trees.  Additionally, all of the songs from In Rainbows were incredibly tight and well-performed.

All in all, Radiohead is completely on top of their game (even if the festival organizers were not), serving up mesmorizing and memorable music (setlist below) all while clearly enjoying themselves and the entire live performance experience.
