Earlier today, Dell released yet another “recommended” Studio XPS 435MT BIOS update – version 1.1.1.
The new release includes “Support [for] new Intel CPUs.”
You know the drill – Dell suggests users install the latest version of the BIOS, available here.
Looking to buy. Did the 1.1.1 update help the fan noise?
Can’t speak for all 435 owners, but the hair dryer fan noise accompanying the cycling of the CPU is enough to drive me crazy. Hoping a BIOS update would fix it, but no. I hear the fan’s frequency in my ears for several minutes even after shutting down. It’s maddening.
