After 15 hilarious years as the host of NBC’s Late Night with Conan O’Brien, tomorrow night’s show will be Conan’s last before handing the reins over to SNL alum Jimmy Fallon.
O’Brien is set to takeover for Jay Leno (thank god!) on NBC’s The Tonight Show on June 1, 2009. Although a welcome change (again, later Jay!), the new Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien creates quite the dilemma for Dave Letterman fans (like myself).
Although, I guess when I stop and think about it, the glass is really half full in this case. Now, instead of only turning to Leno during Letterman commercial breaks, fans can flip back and forth and enjoy both shows at once. Not to mention, everyone (i.e. Conan fans) will be able to get to bed a little earlier.
