The recent addition of gCal and gDocs gadgets to Gmail Labs effectively turns this incredibly popular webmail app into a true Cloud Command Center – complete with email, instant messaging, calendaring, and document viewing.
When combined with other Gmail “experiments” (i.e. right-side chat), users are able to reconfigure Gmail to better take advantage of these new features (and widescreen displays) as illustrated below.
Once a gReader gadget becomes available (just a matter of time), Gmail will become the ultimate destination for online communication, organization, and procrastination.
Google, google, google… So amazing this company is supposed to be, yet hyperlinks to webpages don’t work with Gmail on the google homepage… very annoying
