The only difference is whether the media gets saved to your computer or not.  Streaming is worse for the consumer, because you&#039;re still paying for the bandwidth, but don&#039;t get to keep the bits.

Comcast&#039;s move here is directly tied to the political wrangling over net neutrality.  The current net neutrality legislation practically mandates a slow-lane, capped Internet in order to protect the incumbent cable operators from open competition online. Comcast is making a simple statement here: if you&#039;re not going to let us manage our network, we&#039;re going to f*ck with your Internet access and focus on our core CATV business.</description>
